RTSP Camera (“we”, “our”, “the app”) is a mobile application that turns your device into a local RTSP IP camera. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app handles and your rights. By using the app, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.

2. Data Collection

RTSP Camera is designed to run entirely on your device and your local network. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking.

3. Camera & Microphone

The app uses your device’s camera and microphone solely to capture a live video/audio stream. This stream is processed on your device and sent only to clients you connect on your local network (for example, Home Assistant or VLC). The app does not record, upload, or retain any footage.

4. Local Network

The app runs a small RTSP server on your device so other devices on the same Wi-Fi network can connect to the stream. It does not communicate with any external servers or the internet.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

Because the app collects and stores no data, there is nothing to retain or delete.

The app does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or cloud services, and does not share your data with anyone.

7. Permissions

To function correctly, RTSP Camera requests the following permissions:

Android: CAMERA, RECORD_AUDIO.
iOS: NSCameraUsageDescription, NSMicrophoneUsageDescription, NSLocalNetworkUsageDescription.

8. Children’s Privacy

RTSP Camera is not targeted at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.

9. Legal Bases (GDPR/CCPA)

Because the app collects no personal data, no legal basis for processing is required. Camera, microphone, and local-network access are granted through system permission prompts and can be revoked at any time in your device settings.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as RTSP Camera evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent changes.
